Description
The 480L takes the quilted velvet four corner design and works leather into it. Quilted velvet on its own is soft; leather adds structure, so the bag holds its shape better and the areas that take the most wear are covered in the harder material. The contrast between the two textures is also the visual point of the design.
Sizes run from the 8.5" x 9.5" tefillin bag, supplied without stones, through the 10" x 10.5" bar mitzvah bag, to the 14" x 14" large talis bag and the 16" x 16" extra large. Choose the tefillin size for a single pair, the 14x14 for tallis and tefillin together, and the 16x16 if the tallis is a heavy one.
Between the plain quilted version and this one, the leather is the longer-lasting bag and the plain quilted is the softer-looking. Men who travel with their tefillin tend to end up with the leather.
