Description
Hard-sided, black, and built on the luxury 1020 face — this is the tube version, and the reason to choose it over the pouch is that it holds its shape whether the megillah is inside it or not. The scroll sits in a fixed space instead of being wrapped, which is what you want if the case spends most of the year in storage.
Two lengths: 17.7 inches and 14 inches. Full-size klafim need the long tube. The 14 inch is the size for a shorter scroll and the one that suits a bochur, since the long case is genuinely unwieldy for a boy. A personalized snap-on handle comes with either, clipping to the body for carrying and coming off for the layning.
Black is the default in this line for a reason. It disappears next to a dark suit and it does not date, which counts on a case someone intends to use for thirty years.
