Description
Design 1845 is one of the plain black leather megillah tubes, distinguished from its neighbours in the range by the way the body is cut rather than by any applied decoration. Leather over the full length, no fur, no contrast, nothing to catch on a coat pocket.
It comes at 17.7 inches and 14 inches. The long case is the standard order for a full klaf; the 14 inch is the one to take for a shorter scroll, and it is easier for a bochur to manage in a shul that is packed for the reading. A personalized snap-on handle comes with either size and detaches from the body.
A lulav holder is made in 1845 as well. Buyers who like the leather usually take both, since the lulav holder gets carried through Sukkos and the megillah case through Purim, and having the two match is the sort of detail that shows without being loud.
