#465 is the white velvet version of the name plate design. On white the embroidered plate reads much more sharply than it does on black, and the whole bag shifts from weekday to Shabbos — white velvet is what men keep for Shabbos, Yom Tov and the Yomim Noraim rather than for daily use.
It is made in four sizes: the 8.5" x 9.5" tefillin bag without stones, the 10" x 10.5" bar mitzvah bag, the 14" x 14" large talis bag and the 16" x 16" extra large. Since a Shabbos bag carries no tefillin, many men take the 14x14 and use the spare room for a gartel or a small siddur.
White wants a little more care than black. Keep it off wet coats and out of the boot of the car, and it will hold its colour for years. The name plate layout makes it a natural choice for a chosson's Shabbos bag, where the personalisation is the point of the gift.
