Gilboa Wool Tallis in Blue or White Stripes, Sizes 50 to 70

The Gilboa is a pure wool tallis offered in four stripe treatments, and unusually for this line two of them are blue: blue stripes, blue with silver, white stripes, or white with silver. Blue stripes are worn in some kehillos and not in others, and it is worth being clear which you are before ordering rather than afterwards.

Sizes are 50, 55, 60 and 70. The 50 is a shoulder tallis for a bochur, or for a man who prefers to wear it narrow; 55 and 60 are the common adult widths; 70 is for a tall man, or for anyone who wants enough cloth to bring over the head during Shemoneh Esrei without dragging the front corners up with it.

Silver reads cooler and quieter than gold does, and against white it shows mostly in movement rather than standing still. It is the treatment to take if you want a tallis that is clearly finished without being bright about it.
