Traditional Wool Tallis with Blue and Gold Stripes, Sizes 18 to 70

Blue and gold. Blue stripes are worn in some circles and not in others, so this is a tallis chosen deliberately rather than arrived at by default — and where it is worn, gold alongside the blue makes it unmistakable across a room.

Sizes are 18 at 18 by 72, 24 at 24 by 72, 36 at 36 by 72, 45 at 43 by 64, 50 at 47 by 67, 55 at 51 by 72, 60 at 55 by 75, and 70 at 59 by 80. The narrow ones are shoulder widths for a boy or a bochur; from 50 upward there is enough cloth to bring over the head comfortably. Take the width first, since that determines how the tallis sits, and let the length follow from it.

It is a common choice in a Sefardi kehilla and in families whose minhag has always been a coloured stripe. If you are not certain what your shul wears, look at what is standing at the amud before you order.
