Description
A canopy with its poles is embroidered in 3D on white velvet here, design #175 — the raised technique lifts the canopy off the surface so it has actual depth rather than being drawn flat in thread. On white the shadows in the raised work are what give the design its definition, which is why 3D embroidery is used on white bags more often than on dark ones.
It is made in the large 14" x 14" size only. That is the standard talis bag size and it is the right one for a white bag, which is normally kept for Shabbos and Yom Tov and therefore carries a tallis without tefillin. The extra room is useful for a gartel or a small siddur if that is your practice.
Design #175 is also produced across Malchut's Chanukah pieces, so the same embroidery can be carried through to the Chanukah table. It is one of the more affordable of the white 3D bags, which makes it a straightforward first Shabbos bag.
