Description
An embroidered arch spans the face of this white velvet bag, design #165, rising from the lower corners and closing at the top. It is a flat embroidery rather than a raised 3D one, which keeps the bag lighter in appearance and lets the shape of the arch carry the design on its own.
The bag is made in the large 14" x 14" size. For a white bag that is the practical choice — a Shabbos and Yom Tov bag carries a tallis without tefillin, and 14x14 holds a tallis folded in thirds with a little room over for a gartel.
Design #165 is also made as a bencher cover. Since a bencher is out on the table every Shabbos and the bag is in shul every Shabbos, matching the two is one of the more visible ways to carry a single design through a home. This is also the most accessible of the white canopy bags, which makes it a sensible starting point if you are building a set gradually.
