Tavor Wool Tallis in White and Silver with Tied Sefardi Meyuchad Strings

White and silver. The Tavor is a wool tallis with silver worked through the stripe, which puts more light into it than a plain white-on-white tallis without going as far as gold does. It arrives with sefardi meyuchad strings already tied, so there is nothing to arrange before it can be worn.

Two sizes are cut, 50 and 60. Fifty is the narrower shoulder width, the one a bochur wears or a man who does not want much cloth on him. Sixty is the standard adult width and the one to take if you cover your head with the tallis during Shemoneh Esrei. There is no string decision to make on this one, since the tying is already done and done sefardi.

For a man buying his first tallis, a pre-tied one removes the single step that otherwise delays wearing it, and that is part of why it turns up so often as a gift for a chosson from the kallah's side.
