Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Leather and Fur with Gold or Silver Thread, Design #1268

Metallic thread is the distinguishing feature on 1268. The black leather and black fur version comes two ways, worked in gold thread or in silver, and the difference is not small: gold reads warm and traditional, silver reads cooler and more modern against the same materials. Beyond those, there is white leather with black speckled fur, black leather with black-and-white fur, and navy leather with navy fur for a man who wants colour without leaving the dark tones.

Each finish is available in the three standard cuts, 10.5" x 10" bar mitzvah, 14" x 14" large talis, and 16" x 16" extra large. The bar mitzvah bag is sized for tefillin and a light tallis; the 14" x 14" suits most men; the 16" x 16" is for a heavy tallis or a bag that also carries a siddur.

If the bag is going to be used mainly on Shabbos and Yom Tov, the gold thread is the traditional pick. For daily use, silver on black is quieter and marks less obviously.
