Description
The 1801B holds a full lulav at 53.5 by 7.5 inches, long enough that the spine and the top of the lulav sit inside the case rather than standing proud of it. That is the whole point of a case this size — nothing important should be sticking out of the top where it can catch on a doorway.
Aluminum lining is the option here, offered as yes or no when you order. The lined version slows the lulav from drying, which is the difference between a lulav that still looks right on Hoshana Rabbah and one that has gone brittle by the fourth day. The unlined version is the plainer build, and it suits someone who has his own way of keeping the lulav fresh at home.
For a man taking his lulav to shul every morning of Sukkos, and to a second minyan or a neighbor's sukkah in between, a proper case is not decoration. Design 1801B is a straightforward, well-proportioned answer to carrying the four minim around all week.
