Description
Black leather over a plain body, design 1850. It belongs to the undecorated end of the range, where the difference between one number and the next is the shape of the case and the finish of the leather rather than anything applied on top. Nothing here will argue with a decorated klaf.
Sizes are 17.7 inches and 14 inches. Take the larger for a standard megillah and the smaller for a short scroll — the width is fixed, so length is the only decision to make. Both sizes take the personalized snap-on handle, which clips to the case for carrying and comes off so the tube can rest flat during the reading.
Malchut also produces 1850 as a lulav holder, and the same design is offered in navy as well as this black. Between the two colours and the matching Sukkos piece, it is one of the easier numbers to build out over a couple of years.
