Description
Design 1025 in black velvet, embroidered across the front. The 1025 number also runs as a tallis and tefillin bag and as a megillah case, so the embroidery here is not a one-off pattern invented for shofars — it is a full design applied to a bag cut in the shape of a horn.
Two sizes are made. The small is 13 by 10 inches and takes a horn up to roughly fourteen inches without pressing on the bell. The medium is 16 by 10.5 and gives room to a full-size shofar of fifteen to seventeen. If you are caught between the two, take the medium: a shofar that has to be forced into a bag gets scraped at the mouthpiece every time it goes in and out.
Because 1025 is cut as a tallis and tefillin bag and as a megillah case as well, one design number can carry a man through the year — the tallis bag every morning, the megillah case on Purim, the shofar bag through Elul and Tishrei.
